I couldn't wait to share. Special Friday edition #53 -- please read
It's a special Friday edition (#53) of the World's Best Newsletter because, well, I've got something important to share, and I need your help.
This week I've published a new collection of content on a dangerous trend in marketing; two-faced femvertising.
Here's the truth: Many brands are celebrated for jumping onto the "femvertising" bandwagon, but use it to hide discriminatory practices within their organizations. Their ads say "we support women!" while their actions say otherwise.
This is a dangerous disconnect that creates an illusion of progress in both marketing and women's rights. Consumers should be critical, and marketers should be more judicious. Otherwise, the fight for women's equality is cheapened to a tagline.
Please, take a moment to read or watch, and if you agree, share my POV.
I've put myself out there to create a dialogue about this issue. Your support (a like, a share, a comment) not only helps this message spread to those who need to hear it, but helps to ensure it's taken seriously. Every positive comment or share is like a shield against the inevitable rush of trolls who see the f-word (feminism) and immediately attack.
So, here it is:
